My name is Juvon Johnson, but many know me as Jay Tha Prophet. my journey into the world of music began at a tender age of 11, when i first joined a group that performed at New Mount Silla Missionary Baptist Church. This church was not just a place of worship for me; it was a sanctuary where I discovered my passion for music and the power it holds to connect people. The group I was a part of gave me my initial experience on stage, allowing me to express myself through song and worship. However, as time passed and the group disbanded, I found myself at a crossroads and took a step back from making music for a while, reflecting on my next move and the direction I wanted to take. When I turned 16 years old, I experienced a renewed sense of purpose and determination to create music on my own terms. I began to invest in my own equipment, which included a computer, microphone, and software for mixing and mastering my music right from the comfort of my room. This was a significant turning point for me, as I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and creativity, allowing me to explore my unique sound and style without limitations. My uncle, Pastor Felix, who has always been a source of support and inspiration in my life, saw my potential and asked if I would like to perform at local events. this opportunity marked the beginning of my ascent in the music scene, and it was during this time that I started to make a name for myself, gaining recognition and respect for my work. As I continued to develop my craft and share my music with others, I was fortunate enough to receive an exciting opportunity in 2016. I was asked to go on tour with Mr. Anderson jr., a well-known artist in the christian hip hop scene. Our connection was made possible through my Uncle, Pastor Felix, who believed in my talent and introduced me to Mr. Anderson jr. This experience was a game-changer for me, as it not only allowed me to perform on bigger stages but also connected me with a community of like-minded artists who shared my passion for faith-based music. It was at this moment that I truly knew my calling was in christian hip hop, a genre that enabled me to spread messages of hope, love, and faith through my art. In the years that followed, I dedicated myself to continuing to invest in my music and equipment, always striving to improve my sound and connect with my audience on a deeper level. I knew that my journey was just beginning, and I was committed to using my talent to make a positive impact in the lives of others through my music. With each new track I created, I felt a stronger sense of purpose and a desire to inspire, uplift, and motivate those who listened. My story is one of growth, faith, and dedication to my craft, and I look forward to seeing where this path will lead me next.
